Insulation by the numbers. Work boots that use Thinsulate, Thermolite, or B-Tek™insulation, for example, help conserve the body’s heat to help keep you warmer longer. If you work outside you need more than the standard 200 grams of insulation. So, look for anywhere from 400 grams to 1,000 grams on insulation for your work boots, depending on how long you spend in the cold.

As a warm work boot, 10/10. The composite toe helps to keep the weight reasonable, and the 8" ankles with... whatever the proper name for those little hooks that replace the top 2 eyes, that all gives you decent options if you just want to leave your boots laced and low, or if the job site is a real ankle buster then you can have some extra support.
Only thing to keep in mind is with how warm the boots are, your feet will probably get swamped because the boots don't breathe at all, so skip the wool socks.
Awesome boots....awesome service
